The choice of chemical or method for water disinfection need not be a complicated process. Each system has its unique application niche. Please click on the links for more information.
Chlorine The most common method of water disinfection and has been safely used for centuries. Excellent for potable water disinfection. Chemical dosing is either by gas chlorinator chemical metering pumps. Utilise either gas chlorine, sodium hypochlorite or calcium hypochlorite.
Chlorine Dioxide Ideal for process water disinfection and food processing flume and wash water. Potable water disinfection produces no THM’s and very low AOX. pH independant and generated on site. Chemical dosing systems are simple and compact. We can provide either Electricide electrochemical chlorine dioxide generation systems or acid-chlorite generation systems.
UV (Ultraviolet) Ideal for disinfection of potable, waste water, process water or swimming pool water where a measurable residual is not required and chemical dosing is not favoured. Water disinfection systems include filtration and/or flocculation prior to UV to ensure water transmissivity is high. Low and medium pressure lamps. has been shown to inactivate Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
Ozone Used for potable, process and spring water treatment where disinfection by-products are to be minimised. Ozone is generated using corona discharge cells and dissolved into water using injectors or static mixers.
Chemical Dosing Systems Dioxide Pacific are experts in the design, manufacture and installation of chemical dosing systems and chemical storage facilities. Typical applications include storage and dosing of Alum, fluorosilicic acid, PACl, flocculant, polyelectrolyte, potassium permanganate. The list is limitless. Whatever your chemical, we can provide a system for safe storage and accurate dosing.
Building Mount Chemical Dosing & Water Treatment Systems If you are going to purchase a chemical dosing system or water treatment plant and it is to be located at your site, why not purchase the plant already installed in its own building? The benefits are huge, mainly with reduced site installation time and prevention of defects. It makes sense that we can construct the plant at our works and fully test it before shipment. No nasty surprises on site, just connect services and switch it on.
Skid Mount Chemical Dosing Systems We can provide chemical dosing systems fully installed electrically and mechanically on a skid. You can then simply bolt the skid down and connect to your process.
